1st International Workshop on Intelligent Digital Twins for Smart Cities in the Metaverse (IDTSC)

Digital twins are rapidly becoming essential for the simulation and management of real-world systems, especially within smart cities. This workshop focuses on the integration of AI-driven digital twins with immersive metaverse environments to build real-time, data-informed urban simulations. Topics will include AI models for environmental sensing, transportation, infrastructure planning, and emergency response, all visualized and interacted with in VR/AR spaces. Researchers and practitioners will explore frameworks that synchronize physical assets with their virtual counterparts and discuss how digital twins can serve as decision-support tools, participatory platforms, and testbeds for policy and innovation.

Topics:

  • Digital twin simulation in urban planning
  • Real-time data synchronization across physical-virtual spaces
  • AI for predictive modeling in smart infrastructures
  • IoT–Metaverse integration frameworks

1st International Workshop on BCI Interfaces & Cognitive Engineering in the Metaverse (BCIME)

The fusion of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) with immersive technologies is opening new pathways for intuitive interaction and cognitive personalization within the metaverse. This workshop focuses on cutting-edge advances in neural signal processing, cognitive load modeling, emotion detection, and adaptive environments driven by brainwave input (EEG, fNIRS, etc.). It will cover practical applications such as mind-controlled navigation, neurofeedback-based therapy, and cognitive-aware virtual learning systems. By bridging neuroscience, XR, and AI, the workshop aims to build human-centric metaverse experiences that respond to users’ mental and emotional states in real time.

Topics:

  • Digital twin simulation in urban planning
  • Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) for metaverse navigation
  • Neuromarketing in immersive environments
  • EEG-driven emotion and behavior modeling
  • Cognitive load-aware VR systems

1st International Workshop on Ethical AI & Secure Metaverse Ecosystems (EASME)

As the metaverse becomes increasingly intelligent and interconnected, it also becomes more vulnerable to ethical breaches, security threats, and misuse of user data. This workshop addresses the design of responsible, privacy-preserving, and ethically aligned metaverse ecosystems. Topics include decentralized identity and reputation systems, blockchain-based security architectures, content provenance and anti-deepfake technologies, as well as frameworks for ethical AI deployment in immersive spaces. Participants will also examine governance models, regulatory considerations, and value-sensitive design principles to ensure the metaverse remains a safe and inclusive space for all

Topics:

  • Federated learning and data ownership in XR
  • Identity theft, deepfakes, and content authenticity
  • Ethical AI deployment in immersive settings
  • Blockchain for decentralized privacy controls

1st International Workshop on Generative AI for Immersive Experience Design (GAIXR)

Generative AI is revolutionizing how virtual worlds, characters, and narratives are created. This workshop delves into how large language models (LLMs), diffusion models, and procedural generation techniques can be leveraged to automate and co-create immersive metaverse experiences. Attendees will explore applications such as text-to-3D asset generation, AI-assisted storytelling, real-time scene construction, and democratized content creation platforms. The focus will be on both the creative potential and the technical underpinnings of generative systems, empowering developers, artists, and researchers to build dynamic, personalized, and evolving virtual environments.

Topics:

  • Text-to-3D world generation
  • Generative avatars and environments using diffusion models
  • Procedural storytelling and adaptive narratives
  • Democratizing content creation with LLMs

1st International Workshop on AI-Enhanced Learning Worlds (MetaLearn)

This workshop brings together researchers, educators, and developers to explore the future of learning in the metaverse. With AI as the backbone of adaptive instruction, participants will investigate how intelligent agents, learning analytics, and gamification mechanics can transform virtual learning environments into effective and engaging spaces. Topics include VR-based training simulations, AI tutors and mentors, immersive assessment tools, and personalized content delivery. The session will also examine pedagogical strategies, accessibility issues, and the role of multimodal AI in supporting diverse learners across disciplines.

Topics:

  • AI tutors in virtual classrooms
  • Serious games for skill acquisition
  • Immersive simulations for STEM & soft skills
  • XR-based training with real-time analytics
  • Gamification in the intelligent Metaverse

1st International Workshop on Standards, Protocols, and AI Agents for a Unified Metaverse (SPAAUM)

Metaverse (SPAAUM) The metaverse currently exists as a patchwork of siloed platforms and environments. This workshop addresses the pressing need for interoperability, open standards, and AI-enabled translation layers that can unify fragmented virtual worlds. Topics include standardized data formats (e.g., glTF, USD), interaction protocols (OpenXR, WebXR), semantic web technologies, and agent-based systems for cross-platform communication. Emphasis will also be placed on middleware design, decentralized service orchestration, and interoperability testing tools. The workshop invites researchers, developers, and standards bodies to collaboratively shape the foundations of an open and intelligent metaverse.

Topics:

  • Open metaverse protocols (OpenXR, glTF, USD)
  • AI-driven middleware for cross-platform communication
  • Semantic web & ontologies for virtual environments
  • Agent-based interoperability in mixed reality
